Here is a list of opportunities to become involved in serving through missions at Forest Park.

Other opportunities come up throughout the year so watch the weekly bulletins and Newsletters for opportunities to join others at Forest Park in serving people in our community and throughout the world. By the way, you’ll have fun too!

Family Promise

Four times per year we host families in our Family Life Center for a week. You can serve by cooking a meal for the family, visiting with them in the evening or sleeping overnight. You choose the level of your involvement.

Lincoln Park Clean-up Days - The 1st Saturday of the month April - November
For the past six years we have been volunteering to clean-up Lincoln Park on the 1st Saturday of the month from April through November. We pick up litter and debris and weed and mulch the grounds. Time commitment is 1-3 hours or as long as you choose to stay.

Lima Rescue Mission (LRM) - The 3rd Saturday of the month
Once a month we cook and serve meals at the LRM. You can choose to cook the meal or serve. The time commitment for serving is about 90 minutes start to finish. When you serve for the first time you will be joined by individuals who have done it before. Cooks can use the Family Life Center kitchen and reimbursement for food cost is available.

Churches United Pantry (CUP) - Ongoing
In addition to volunteers who help distribute food on a monthly basis at CUP our church attendees contribute thousands of food items, plus cash throughout the year. More volunteers and relief volunteers are needed.

Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen
For over 20 years we have been serving lunch on the third Monday of the month at Our Daily Bread. Time commitment is 10:20 – 12:00.

Tijuana Mission Encounter
since 2007 we have had over 35 individuals join us on an annual trip to Tijuana, Mexico. Not sure what gift you have to provide? Don’t worry, most of us didn’t know either when we first went, but God knows and He always finds the right fit for each person.
